Our story
Sliced by hand,
sun-bright in the jar.
Airdd is a small-batch dried citrus operation in Australia. We take whole fruit at peak season, slice it thin, and dry it slowly — nothing else. The result keeps its colour, its rind aroma, and its natural form on the plate.
The beginning
A glut of fruit and a problem we wanted to fix.
Inspired by our own love of fresh-fruit garnishes, we wanted a way to keep the colour and form of citrus around without the unnecessary waste. Whenever we bought a bag of fresh citrus, only a few slices got used before the rest began to spoil.
With Airdd, you can pull a slice out whenever you need one — for a glass, a cake, a centrepiece — and the rest keeps on the shelf.
How we make it
Whole fruit. Thin slices. Low and slow.
We work with growers across Australia to source whole fruit at peak season. Then we get to work — by hand, in small batches, the way it has always been done.
- ✓
Sourced in season
Whole Australian citrus, picked at peak ripeness for maximum colour and aroma.
- ✓
Sliced thin by hand
Every slice is cut to thickness on the bench — no machines, no shortcuts.
- ✓
Dried low and slow
Hours of gentle airflow lock in the rind oils that keep each slice fragrant.
- ✓
Nothing else added
No sugar, no preservatives, no sulphites, no artificial colour. Just fruit.
"Nothing goes in but the fruit. The colour, the rind oils, the natural form — that's all the citrus."
— The Airdd team

Where they shine
Drop a slice in. Anywhere.
After making a few batches and sharing them with friends, we decided Airdd should be available to everyone. Cocktail glasses, cakes, tablescapes, hampers, photo shoots — anywhere a real citrus garnish belongs.
